Ingredients

Scale
    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 (28 oz) can tomatoes
    • 2 cloves minced garlic
    • 2 tsp honey
    • 2 tsp salt
    • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
    • ½ tsp Tabasco sauce
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 package egg noodles, cooked
    • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese
    • 6 green onions, chopped
    • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

    1. Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
    2. Add Flavor: Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until soft. Stir in the tomatoes, honey, salt, pepper, bay leaf, and Tabasco sauce. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes to blend the flavors.
    3. Prepare the Noodle Mixture: In a bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles with cream cheese, chopped green onions, and sour cream. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  1. Layer the Casserole: Grease your baking dish. Layer half of the noodle mixture at the bottom, followed by half of the tomato and beef mixture, and then a layer of grated Cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with cheese on top.
  2. Bake the Casserole: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  3. Serving Suggestions: Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions or a sprinkle of parsley for added color and flavor.
