Soft Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

These are the best soft cut-out sugar cookies you will ever make! Easy recipe and fun to decorate

Ingredients

 

 

3 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
12 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 12 cup white sugar
2 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

 

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt and set aside. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract. Gradually blend in the sifted dry ingredients until well combined. Cover the dough and chill for 2 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
  3. On a clean floured surface, roll out small portions of the chilled dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges are barely brown. Remove from the cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
