Perfect Lemon Bars

Lemon bars are my grandma’s favorite.


I’ve only ever made them once, but that was with gluten free flour, and while they tasted fine, it was more like a goopy cobbler than a lemon bar. Again though, I’m not a natural baker.

These lemon bars are based off of Ina Garten’s recipe. They look amazing. Check out the recipe on the next page.


For the Crust

  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
For the filling:
  • 6 extra-large eggs
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons grated lemon zest
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup flour
  • Powdered Sugar, for dusting
