Paleo Lemon and Herb Halibut



  • 1 lb halibut fillet
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 1⁄4 tsp sea salt, or to taste
  • 1⁄8 tsp black pepper, freshly ground, or to taste
  • 1 lemon, half cut into slices
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil or parsley, chopped


Preheat oven broiler. Line a heavy rimmed baking sheet with foil.
Place halibut on prepared pan. Coat each fillet with olive oil, then season with sea salt and black pepper. Broil for 10 to 15 minutes or until fish is opaque in the center and can be flaked with a fork.
Remove halibut from the oven. Squeeze half of a lemon over the fillets and sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley. Garnish with lemon slices.
