One-Pan Chicken Parmesan

I made this for dinner tonight and it was very tasty. I sautéed a little onion, green pepper and fresh mushrooms on the side and mixed it with the remainder of the sauce and served it over whole wheat thin spaghetti.

One-Pan-Chicken-Parmesan

Ingredients :

  • 4 (5-ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 (1-ounce) slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasonings

Preparation :

  • -Season chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • -Heat the olive oil in a skillet set over medium.
  • -Cover each chicken breast with 2 tablespoons sauce, 1 slice of cheese and a dash of herbs.
    Stovetop
  • -Lower heat to low, cover, and cook until the cheese is melted.
    Oven
  • -Make sure your skillet is oven-safe. Place under the broiler until cheese is melted and browned lightly.
