No Bake Swedish Chocolate Coconut Balls

I roll these balls in coconut flakes, but you can roll them in sprinkles too or not roll them at all.




4 cup rolled oats
1 14 cup white sugar
1 12 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 tbsp strongly brewed coffee
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 (1 oz each) squares unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
13 cup flaked coconut



  1. Stir together oats, sugar, and cocoa in a bowl. Add butter or margarine and mix ingredients with your hands to make a thick dough. Mix in coffee, vanilla extract, and melted chocolate until thoroughly blended.
  2. Place flaked coconut in a small bowl. Pinch off small amounts of dough and roll between your hands to make small balls, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Roll balls in flaked coconut. Balls are ready to eat or can be refrigerated for 2 hours to become firmer.
