Mexican Hot Chocolate

This rich hot chocolate is spiced up with a pinch of chili powder.


4 cup non-fat milk
13 cup dark brown sugar, packed
14 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 oz semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped
14 tsp ground cinnamon


  1. Whisk together the milk, brown sugar, cocoa, chocolate, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan until well blended.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until the mixture is hot and chocolate is melted, 5-6 minutes.
