If you keep in mind that lobster meat is pretty delicate, you’ll figure it out easily. The simplest way to cook perfect lobster all the time is to steam it with seasoned water for just a short time and to make sure the lobster isn’t touching the water while it’s steaming. - Fill a large pot ⅔ full of water. Add bay leaves, dried basil, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil.
- Place a fine mesh screen across the top of the pot. Place the lobster tail evenly on the screen and cover with a lid. Steam for 8 minutes and don’t peek!
- Stir together melted butter and garlic for dipping.
Place a steamer insert inside the pot so that it is just above the water level.
Put the lobster tails on the rack and cover the pot. Steam for 8 minutes and don’t peek!
Serve with melted butter.
