Quick Italian Chicken

Healthy recipe: easy Italian chicken – a quick, cheap and healthy version of an Italian favorite.

Ingredients :

1 tbsp cooking oil
6 ( 4 oz) boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1 large green bell pepper, cut in small chunks
1 (10 oz) pkg. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 (14 to 16 oz) jar low sodium spaghetti sauce
1/4 cup low sodium Worcestershire sauce

Preparation :

1. Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over high heat. Cook chicken 5 minutes until browned on both sides. Remove to plate.

2. Add in the peppers and mushrooms to same skillet. Cook, stirring 3 minutes or until tender.

3. Stir in spaghetti sauce and Worcestershire. Heat to boiling. Return chicken to skillet. Simmer covered 5 minutes or until no longer pink in center.
