Ingredients :

  • 5 Tbs. butter, softened (unsalted)
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 C. whole milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • For the glaze:
  • 1/2 C. whole milk
  • 2 C. confectionery sugar
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 3 tbsp. sugar

Preparation :

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly oil a doughnut pan, or a muffin pan. In a mixer combine butter, sugar, egg, 1/2 cup milk, and vanilla extract. The dough should look lumpy.
  • Add salt and baking powder. Slowly add the flour.
  • Continue mixing until combined. Fill the tins halfway with batter. Bake for 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Mix remaining 1/2 cup of milk with almond extract and confectionery sugar to create the glaze. Glaze doughnuts and top with sugar.
