The Best Tuna Salad

I think I might have been at least 18 years old before I realized that you could add more to canned tuna than just mayonnaise… and when I did, a whole new world opened up in front of me! So, this recipe goes out to all of you who have never wandered outside of the tuna box.

I’m not sure what it is, but from the months of May to September, all I want to eat for just about every meal is a salad. I don’t know why. Maybe just because the ingredients are fresher so the end result tastes better? Whatever it is, I like it. I actually crave salads. That doesn’t happen in the winter time I can tell you that much. Now, it doesn’t have to be the green leafy salad that you’re probably thinking about. It could also be a nice cold tuna salad. Those just scream BBQ to me, which equals summer.

I just made a small portion for my family that first time to see what it was going to taste like. Now when we are invited to go somewhere, I double it up and pack up a great big batch. People love it!

My husband eats this as a salad for dinner and allows me to prepare it as a sandwich the next day. It’s convenient and it’s really delicious. A perfect meal for the family! A copy of this recipe can be found on the next page. Enjoy!
