I don’t know about you, but I hate cleaning out my oven. It’s the one chore I look forward to the least when it comes time to tackle my spring cleaning projects. However, I’ve been doing a bit of research and found a few ways to tackle this nastiness with a little without inhaling the chemicals from traditional oven cleaner.
Take note of these five ways you can clean your oven naturally and maybe can all enjoy a cleaner oven with a little less hassle.
1. Stock up on baking soda and vinegar
After you remove your oven racks, apply a mixture of 1/2 cup of baking soda and a few tablespoons of water. (You’ll need a medium-thick paste). Coat the entire surface of your oven with the paste and make sure to really rub it in. Allow the baking soda to sit overnight before wiping off as much of the dried baking soda as you can. Then spritz with a little vinegar and let the foaming settle before wiping out with a damp cloth. You may need to repeat the vinegar spritz a few times, according to The Kitchn.

2. Clean your oven racks with dryer sheets
Cleaning oven racks can be a bit of a pain, make it a little easier by placing a layer of dryer sheets on the bottom of the tub. Place your oven racks on top of the dryer sheets and add hot water just to cover the racks and add 1/2 cup of dish soap. Allow the racks to soak overnight before scrubbing them down with the wet dryer sheets.

3. Bake it off
You’ll need vinegar, water, baking soda and heat for this trick. Mix baking soda with a few tablespoons of water. Then add a few tablespoons of vinegar. Allow the vinegar and baking soda to bubble and then use a sponge to apply the mixture to the dirtiest parts of your oven. Place the bowl filled with your leftover mixture on the top rack in your oven at bake at 100 degrees for about an hour. Use a sponge to wipe all the grime away, according to Cleverly.
