The best natural solution for successful treatment of nail fungus uses two common ingredients that you probably already have on your kitchen shelves – apple cider vinegar and baking soda.
Fungi are germs that only thrive in a limited pH range. As ACV is acidic and baking soda alkaline in nature, these two substances make the perfect combination for fighting the ideal fungal environment, thus preventing fungal growth.
- Apple cider vinegar
- Baking soda
- Warm water
Pour apple cider vinegar in a washbasin enough to immerse your nails in. Soak your feet for 20 minutes. Pat them dry before you fill the basin with warm water. Again, soak your feet in the water for 20 more minutes. Add a cup of baking soda in the basin and leave your feet to soak for additional 15-20 minutes. Do the treatments several times a day.
It’s important that your feet are clean and dry any time before you do the treatment.
Also, wearing pip-toe shoes as much as possible is highly recommended due to the fact that fungi thrive in dark and moist environment. Doing regular pedicure is also important along with cleaning the nail tips with a brush and some tea tree oil on regular daily basis.
If you are consistent and do the treatment every day for several weeks, your nail fungus will disappear.
Apart from treating nail fungus, ACV is highly beneficial for a number of other diseases. Although there are several types of ACV available on the market, the brands that have the “mother” substance floating at the bottom of the bottle are highly recommended because this substance accounts for most of the medicinal properties of ACV.
